    Data deletion

You can ask MortgageBond to delete personal information we hold about you. This page explains how, what we delete, and how long it usually takes. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy under POPIA.

    How to request deletion

Email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion”. Include your full name, the email or cellphone you used with us, and (if you have it) your ID number so we can find the right record.

You can also use the form on our Contact page and write that you want your personal data deleted.

    What we delete

Where we can, we delete or anonymise website funnel records, contact-form enquiries, and CRM client and communications records tied to you (including WhatsApp or email threads we store).

Uploaded ID documents and credit reports we generated for your file are removed when they are no longer needed for that request, unless a legal hold applies.

    What we may keep

We may keep information we must retain under South African law (for example FICA, complaints, or tax records) or that we need to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim. We will say so if that applies.

Backups and security logs may take longer to drop off as they rotate. Third parties such as Scorefix or email providers may hold a copy under their own policies; we will tell them to delete where we instructed them as operator.

    Timelines

We aim to confirm we received your request within five working days and to finish deletion (or explain what we must keep) within 30 days.

If we need more time or more proof of identity, we will say so in writing.

    POPIA
